Border guards of Chernivtsi border guard detachment jointly with the representatives of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine detected 55 kilos of amber. Citizen of Ukraine tried to transfer it to the EU countries.

On January 13, law enforcement officers detected hidden amber at “Porubne” border crossing point.

Border guards found illegal goods during the further check of automobile with Ukrainian registration plate. The vehicle was operated by the 31-years old citizen of Ukraine. Violator hid the contraband under the trunk and passenger cabin.

Law enforcement officers seized smuggled amber.
